Audio: Houseboy of murdered GPHA Public Affairs Manager arrested
The Tema Police Regional Command says it has begun investigations into the murder of the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and HaboursAuthority, Josephine Asante, at her residence at community 25 in Tema.
Josephine was murdered in her home shortly after returning from a GPHA-organised party for Senior Staff.
Reports say she was attacked in her bedroom soon after she returned from the party on Saturday night.
The GPHA source said after the attack, the attacker or attackers locked her inside her bedroom and threw the keys unto the compound.
DSP Joseph Benefo Darkwa, Tema Police Regional Public Relations Officer has told Adom FM’s morning show, “Dwaso Nsem” Monday that the houseboy who was believed to be at home at the time of the incident has been picked up by the police.
He said the houseboy whose name has been withheld, is assisting the police with investigations.
“We have begun investigations into the matter. The only arrest we have made so far is the houseboy, he is currently in our grips and assisting with investigations as a result of the murder,” he said.
DSP Joseph Benefo Darkwa said security has been beefed up at the residence as people troop in to sympathize with family members.
