Gyampo’s Political Science Runs Away When His Lovely NDC Is In The Picture

When dishonesty consumes the entire system of a political pundit many consider to be a colossus in the field, he allows his academic credentials to be blinded by certain factors which go contrary to his chosen field.

Professor Ransford Gyampo, though has shown his prejudiced posturing against the Akufo-Addo administration on more occasions than can be recalled, his latest position on the gargantuan filing fee being paid by the presidential aspirants of the NDC gives credence to the fact that Ransford Gyampo spoke out of tune with the happenings in our political landscape.

For someone who has been very vocally vociferous about the increasing amounts of monies spent on political activities, one would expect that he would take a more antagonistic stance over the matter than the one he has adopted now.

What is worthy of note is how this Professor of Political Science has seen everything wrong with whatever the NPP has done but strangely sees nothing wrong with the NDC when they engage in similar activities.

It tells you that Ransford Gyampo is able to commandeer all the positive accolades his mind can readily procure when the NDC is in the picture. On the other hand, when the NPP is in the news for some controversial reasons, Ransford Gyampo digs into his archives, lifts all the stories branded ‘negative’ and pumps them into the public domain ostensibly to paint the New Patriotic Party extremely bad.

How Prof. Gyampo would seek to endorse this atrociously incomprehensible filing fee of the NDC is something that discerning minds cannot easily grasp. It is as though Ransford Gyampo has acclimatized himself to the widely held position that he is sympathetic to the cause of the opposition NDC.

It is highly essential, at this juncture, to veer into an angle that may remain latent to many a party faithful. Ransford Gyampo has been forceful with his constant criticisms and antipathetic gestures towards the NPP since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took charge of this party. His reasons are personal than professional.

It is sad that Prof. Gyampo would throw away what his field dictates for him to do but ends up allowing his vendetta against Akufo-Addo to affect his professionalism as a political scientist!
