A woman believed to be in her mid-twenties was found dead in what is suspected to be lynching by unknown assailants early Monday at Aboaso in Ashanti Region.
The body of the yet-to-be-identified deceased had what looked like multiple stab wounds, a 5-inch block beside it.
Unit Committee Chairman at Aboaso in Kwabre East District, Wofa Charles, there are traces the culprits dragged the victim into a nearby plantain farm.
Shocked residents say they heard no screaming at night only to be greeted with news of the suspected crime when they woke up.
Nhyira News sources indicate the woman was in long robe known as Jalab and a pair of slippers.
Residents cannot immediately identify her, as police convey the body to the mortuary, pending investigations.
